Pro Am Polo Challenge 2013

2013-07-01

The most nail biting Pro Am, in the most sensational setting.

This year's Pro Am competition saw 6 complete beginners prepare for their biggest challenge so far - play in a polo tournament, in front of hundreds of spectators after only a few weeks of intensive training!

The Pro Amers trained together for the first few weeks under careful guidance of Tony Wesche, polo coach and were then seperate to form the following teams:

Team Torbellino - Verena Treml, Judy Jackson, Nick Latcham, captained by their team professional Ollie Yeo and

Team Esprit Sauvage - Sarah Porritt, Elizabeth Lloyd, Tanya Maude and team professional Matt Yeo.

The match, which had the spectators at Castle Howard on the edge of their seats, resulted in a draw at full time and had to be decided by a penalty shootout.

Team Torbellino were the triumphant winners. Congratulations!

A special well done to Nick Latcham, who won the Most Valuable Player Award and to Tanya Maude, who won Most Improved.
