15 people attend the first HPA Chief Umpire visit to the club

Umpire visit to Yorkshire

HPA Umpire Brigadier Arthur Douglas Nugent (whom some will remember from the Rules Tests) will be giving an informal talk and DVD presentation, with Q and A's to include the following:-

· HPA Rules on suitability of umpires
· Hints on umpiring tournaments and chukkas
· Practical video
· Common fouls and how to spot them
· Penalties
· Umpire responsibilities
· 3rd Umpire
· Future umpire training and qualifications
 
Buffet Lunch will be provided plus tea and coffee.  Please bring your own alcoholic refreshment if required. Members from Beverley Polo Club will also be attending , so it will be a good chance for a pre-season get together. After Lunch all are invited to the White Rose Polo Club to see the new facilities, future proposals and progress on the new arena, which is well under way.

There will be a small charge of £5.00 each to cover the cost of lunch.
