The sun made a rare appearance for this year’s Yorkshire Open Polo Championship which allowed teams from Beverly and Touston to come and enjoy this special tournament at the White Rose Polo Club.
There was plenty of champagne on the trophy table and two very shiny trophies waiting to go to a new owner.
In the lower division, a team from Beverly beat White Rose White and took home the winning rosettes.
The higher division saw an epic battle between the Hunters and White Rose Black. However, victorious by half a goal was the White Rose Team, brilliantly captained by Tony Wesche, our polo manager.
Well done to everyone who took part and many thanks to the umpires.
