Polo Lessons in Yorkshire – Lessons on horse riding – Polo training & Lessons charges
We offer a truly constructive teaching experience to both riders and non riders, with horses to suit all levels of experience in a friendly, welcoming environment. We have a full and varied programme of lessons, six days a week, twelve months a year ranging from one hour to a full day’s entertainment. Within an hour, you will be playing in your first chukka! Our polo lessons suit all age groups from students and children to adults.
All lessons are provided by HCA Polo Ltd under the expert instruction of Gaston Gomaz our resident Argentine coach.

Adult Group
- Join a group lesson with no more than 8 people for £55 or £50 when booking and paying for 3 or more lessons in a block, per person.
- Small group lesson: 2 people, £55 per person.
- Private lesson: £65 or £60 if booking 3 or more lessons in a block, per person.
Child Group
- Children’s group lesson £35 (under 13 years), £40 (13 yrs – 18 yrs in full time education)
- Children’s private lesson £45 (under 13 years), £55 (13 yrs – 18 yrs in full time education)
Student Group
- Students Group lesson: £45
- Student Small Group lesson: 3 people – £40
- Student Private lesson: £55
Polo Taster Course
- The polo taster is a perfect course for anyone who would like to try polo. This two hour course will take you through the various stages of learning the main shots of polo, starting with the hand mallets, then onto Woody, the Wooden horse. When you have mastered the shots, you will learn to ride, polo style, on our polo ponies, before playing in chukkas with the rest of the group.
- 2 hours – £90 (riders only)
Zero to Hero Course - 6 lessons
- ‘ -2 zero to hero’ – structured series of lessons laying the foundations to become a solid –2. To include, rules, riding, hitting, tactics, the horse, the equipment. Work through syllabus. Check sheet. Assessed course.
Constructional chukkas
- These chukkas are designed to help beginner and intermediate players put their shots into action on the field and learn to play better as a team. You will also get help with your tactics – £60 (on hired horse) or £30 for members using their own pony

Cancellation policy
Please note that lessons must be cancelled 72 hours prior to the booking to ensure you are able to receive a refund or transfer the date of your booking. Lessons cancelled after this time will not receive a refund.
