With Paul Piddington’s ponies playing better than ever this was always going to be a touch day in the office for the Milo Watson’s lead Vale of York Team.

Tally-Ho received half a goal on handicap and during the initial passages of play were pushed into defence. A critical breakdown in the Vale of York Team saw Karen Stimpson back a ball she should have hit forward straight into the path of an astounded Paul Piddington, he promptly ran the ball from his own 30 all the way to goal to open up a 1 ½ goal lead.

Milo continued to attack but shot after shot went wide. This proved their downfall as 6 scoring chances could not be given away. Tally-Ho on the other hand kept taking their chances and capitalising on the Vale of York’s mistakes. A comfortable 4 ½ - 2 victory allowed James Phillips’ Tally-Ho to win his plate for the first time.

The champagne was enjoyed by everybody during presentations. We would very much like to thank James Phillips for his kind generosity.
