Ladies' Polo Day - Well done to everyone

Brilliant Polo and great fundraising

What an amazing day we had yesterday for our charity Ladies Day tournament in aid of Macmillan and Mind HEY.

A huge well done to all the lady players who all put on a terrific display to show us just how amazing ladies polo is in Yorkshire. A special well done to Broadgate Pink (Becky Mulgrove, Kate Halstead, Beth Barber Atkinson & Sophie Wesche) who won the overall tournament and Danielle Blackwood who won most valuable player and Abbi Foreman’s Bonita who won best playing pony.

Our pro-amers did themselves proud and played exceptionally well in their first ever tournament. Well done to Arsalan Karim , Lucy Guiry , Lea Dieterle and also to our returning Pro Amers Tanya Maude, Phil Storr and Graham Colvert who managed to win the trophy after a draw resulted in a nailbiting penalty shoot out.

We owe so many thank you’s – to all the businesses and people who supported us with their generous raffle prizes, to the stall holders and volunteers, to the pilots who put on a super air display, to Kerry Haycock and Tanya Maude for all their incredible efforts, to the amazing support team we have here at White Rose, to the umpires, grooms and ponies and most of all to the people who turned out to support us – we hope you all had a fabulous day and can’t wait to let you know how much we raised for our wonderful charities. More details and more pictures to follow!

We would love to see your pictures from yesterday – please upload them to our wall and one lucky person will win a free car parking pass to our Yorkshire Open tournament this weekend!
